Baby boy shower decorations can come in all shapes and sizes, and need not be expensive to make. In fact, the best baby boy shower decorations are those that are fashioned by the guests themselves, in tribute to the mother and her unborn son. If you are looking for ideas for baby boy shower decorations, then this article might be able to help you out.
You can start making baby boy shower decorations by taking care of your venue’s lighting. If you are holding the shower at the home of a friend and have full control over what you do, you can put small blue votive candles in empty jars of baby food. You can light these and place them in nearby tables and desks. Just be sure to watch these delicate baby boy shower decorations: the last thing you want is for your home to catch fire!
Drape the ceiling of your venue with baby blue ribbons, and hang used baby bottles from these ribbons. If you can afford to splurge on these cute baby boy shower decorations, fill the bottles up with light blue jellybeans or gummy candies. At the end of the shower, your guests can take home these sweet baby boy shower decorations with them as souvenirs.
You do not need to make a single centerpiece for your event. You can put together many small baby boy shower decorations in a punch bowl filled with water, then let these float around. You can put in little blue balloons, rubber ducks, and other floating toys. If you are having children over for the baby shower, then you can have a game and ask the children to pick their prizes from the punch bowl. The baby boy shower decorations automatically become toys and gifts for your guests.
If you are having a formal shower, you can use light blue pacifiers as napkin rings. If your guests are up for it, you can drink out of light blue, used baby bottles, and you can have milk and cookies for snacks. A baby shower should call back memories of childhood and playtime fun: a memorable baby shower will make your guests remember all the fun they had as children, without boring them or making them roll their eyes in irritation.

I need baby shower ideas…games, decorations, etc..?
In a few months I am giving my sister-in-law a baby shower. It's her first baby and the first shower I have given. I need ideas for games, prizes for the games, decorations, and anything else I need to know. Thanks!

one of my favorite games is when yo take a bowl of rice and put small gold pins in the bowl and see how many everyone can fish out blindfolded. It's a challenge because of the starchness from the rice to be able to feel the small pins. Of course whoever gets the most wins. I like games like this better than those boring find the word games everyone does.

Games:
1. Have a bunch of sting or yarn that people will cut to be the size of the mom to be's belly. The closest person wins a prize.
2. Have a big serving tray full of baby supply items- smaller ones. Keep it at the table(s) for a minute, then take it away. Have everyone right down as many things as they can remember. List off the items off the tray and the person with the most wins a prize. Mom to be keeps all the items on the tray.
3. Do a word scramble of words related to having a baby or babies. There are lots of websites where you can plug in the words and it makes the word scramble for you.
Prizes:
Candles, chocolates, mints, lotions. They don't have to be big prizes.

super fun game
i'm not sure what its called but i used this game at my shower and everyone had such a great time laughing at eachother we had so much fun.
take post it notes and write 1 baby item on each
place 1 on each persons forehead without them seeing what the item is on there paper on there head
then have the first person stand up in the center of you group and show everyone whats on there post it. then they have to ask yes or no questions to figure out what is on there forehead. have someone keep track of how many questions it takes each person to guess there post it. the person with the fewest questions to guess wins.
gift certs. r great prizes
another great game is the safety pin game.
everyone gets a safety pin pined on them when they arrive. everytime someone says "baby" the mothers name or if known the baby's name who ever hears them takes there safety pin. then one with the most pins and those who kept there pin and NEVER lost it gets prizes
baby memory game
get about 30 to 40 baby items
lay out on a table and cover it up
when you start the game remove the cover for about 1 minutes maybe 2 if you want to be nice
then have everyone write down as many items as they can remember.
only give them 3 to 5 minutes to write.
the 1 with the most right wins.
decorations
pacifier mobile
baby bottle pops make great favors

At my baby shower, my friend made a game of putting different chocolate candy bars in a diaper, squishing it together and had everyone guess what kind of "poop" it was. HAHAHA. It was sooooo funny and it made EVERYONE laugh so hard!!
